World Cup/ Germany wins with difficulty, France is stopped by Iceland;

Monday night brought strong emotions to the World Cup qualifiers, with some of Europe's biggest teams facing unexpected challenges.

Germany confirmed their good form under Julian Nagelsmann, winning 1-0 against Northern Ireland thanks to Woltemade's goal in the 31st minute. A hard-fought but vital victory that keeps the "Panzers" in first place in Group A with 9 points, the same as Slovakia, which triumphed cleanly 2-0 against Luxembourg.

In Group B, where Kosovo is also located, Switzerland was stopped for the first time, drawing 0-0 away against Slovenia. However, the Swiss remain at the top with 10 points.

France, meanwhile, could only manage a spectacular 2-2 draw against Iceland in Group D. The hosts took the lead through Palsson (39'), but the Roosters overturned the deficit through Nkunku (63') and Mateta (68').

However, just two minutes later, Hlynsson scored to make it 2-2 and put an end to France's ambitions for another victory. In the same group, Ukraine secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Azerbaijan. France remain top with 10 points and are just one win away from securing a place in the World Cup.

In Group J, Belgium achieved a spectacular upset victory over Wales (2-4), moving into first place. Meanwhile, North Macedonia made a serious mistake, drawing 1-1 with Kazakhstan, a result that complicates its race for qualification.
