Juliana Nura has faced a provocative comment from a Serbian follower on her social network. In a story published on Instagram, the model from Kosovo shared a long message, where the Serbian commentator invited her to "go with her family to learn the history of Prince Lazar and Emperor Dushan."
The message, loaded with offensive language and serious accusations, also included references to medieval Serbian monasteries in Kosovo, such as Visoki Decani, Graçanica, and the Patriarchate of Peja. Nura's reaction was not long in coming.
In a public response, she disputed the commentator's historical version, referring to the figure of the Illyrian queen Teuta and emphasizing that "Slavic peoples came to the Balkans much later."
The model also accused Serbia of distorting history, suggesting that she learn the true history and then comment. Nura added that "even a part of the Serbian people themselves no longer feel proud to say they are Serbian."
