A fierce debate took place between the Democratic MP and journalist Ardit Rada on "Off the Record" by Andrea Danglli, on A2 CNN.
Mziu asked the journalist to look away from the government and not attack the opposition, while Rada addressed him, saying: "You have held the torch for the president."
Mziu accused the majority of not taking into account the opposition's proposals for the Supreme Audit Office or the Ombudsman, as well as for blocking investigative committees. He called the Rada "patronageist" and mentioned the issue of incinerators, which according to him have cost Albanians 430 million euros.
For its part, the Rada responded by reminding the opposition of its behavior in the elections and accusing it of ugly political displays.

Rada: You are all together there. If you weren't together, why would you be making this Electoral Code?
Mziu: You, crime and the Renaissance are together.
Rada: Start now, say no, but they didn't let us speak. These are not parliamentary chatter, sir. These are the consequences of the closed lists. They are the consequences of the services you have rendered to the mayors, of holding the torch for your own personal troubles.

Rada: Why did you get it when the salary has been raised sometimes in this country. Not even the salary of the state and the private sector, you show me the figures. Mziu: We have sent the names for the head of the Supreme Audit Office, they have not been taken into consideration, we have been sending the names for the Ombudsman for more than 3 years and he has not been elected. It was the case of the election of the President of the Republic who were personalities who were valuable to Albania and were not taken into consideration. This should worry you, the opposition of Albania does not have personalities to represent, except in you, you are a patronageist.
Rada: Are you done?
Mziu: It seems to me that you have fallen into a rut and are unconcerned with the situation in Albania.
Rada: I don't want to take this story personally. No one has given a more uglier performance than you did in the elections.
Mziu: And you must have been a vote buyer because you look like that.
Rada : I'll tell you what I was asked about and then leave.
Mziu: You should be the pure standard of vote alienation.
Rada: You bring that missing debate in the Assembly to us who think differently.
Mziu : You think exactly like the party.
Rada : If I were to think of the party as being in Parliament and not being you, the opposition should be a model in the case of the government as well.
Mziu: We had investigative committees, for two years we have presented several investigative committees and the government changed the law. If there is any check balance in parliament, it is the opposition that should monitor the use of finances in Albania and no committee has been established because the government changed the law on the establishment of committees, penalized deputies who if they were brought before parliament were expelled for 60 days, I and my colleagues have been expelled and we have received punishments from this parliament that has no other in the world. The opposition has no other means than words.
Rada: I know that the Prime Minister came to you at the investigative committee and you made fun of him and made a show of it.
Mziu: Play chess because you are out of date, the prime minister who was on that commission spent 430 million euros on Albanian citizens. Let's go to Sharra and see what facilities there are. 200 million went there alone, 430 million euros went to 3 incinerators.
