US President Donald Trump has warned Iran about the durability of the ceasefire, at a time when new incidents are reported near the Strait of Hormuz.
Asked if the ceasefire had been violated, Trump replied: "We'll let you know," leaving his assessment of the situation open.
He added that maritime traffic has continued normally, noting: " Ships are moving. We moved some last night - big ones. There were no shots. I believe there have been some recently. I'm looking into it ."
In a direct message to Tehran, Trump declared: " Iran better hope the ceasefire stays in place ," adding that "the best thing that can happen to them is for us to keep it in place."
The statements come in a tense climate in the Persian Gulf, where reports of attacks on ships and other incidents are increasing uncertainty over the fate of the ceasefire.
