Analyst Andi Bushati raised concerns about the ban on live streaming of trials for senior officials. Bushati said that this ban raises suspicions that it is being done to cover up the fact that SPAK prosecutors have no evidence and do not want the public to see the trials.
As for the glass cage where defendants are held during the trial, Bushati said that this violates their dignity but does not hinder the trials.
"The cage, despite the fact that it looks terrible, I think it is not one of those things that hinders a judicial process. The fact that it is with a cage or without a cage, is not that it will reduce the possibility of defense. But what does this show? What started with the SPAK wind, that the moment SPAK announces an indictment against you, you are treated like a man with scabies, like a man who the public should throw stones at. "Impunity has ended", "here are the vile men that no one expects", etc., etc. Beqja also has that other one that goes through the commission in handcuffs. There is a denigration of people. Why is this done? My fear is that this is done, when the weaker the accusation, the more the public is pleased, this is how they are throwing these dogs to the dogs.
But, when I said this, it is one that has to do with the dignity of the person, but does not hinder the process. What is my biggest concern, not the cage, but the transparency of the processes. Meta, Beqja, Saliu, Veliaj, everyone is demanding it. Who is the problem? We have seen from SPAK and GJKKO so far a crime that could not have happened even in the processes of the dictatorship, the Beleri process. The only process concluded with a final decision, a process with falsified witnesses, false evidence, falsified documents, a court that does not accept witnesses to face each other. In this process, we have tried to give SPAK and GJKKO the luxury of making farces behind closed doors. They committed a crime, someone was convicted without evidence and facts. This must end. Citizens and everyone must see. Veliaj must face the accusation and the defense. So must everyone else.
Now there may be a klecka there, whether one likes it or not, but the principle should be this, we can no longer give the butchers who gave us the example of conducting processes for the KGB era, the luxury of committing crimes behind closed doors. The processes must be open. This is something else. Here, often, when the reform was made, one of the pillars was the end of impunity, but the other pillar was the fact of restoring public trust in justice. There cannot be a return of public trust in justice with the repetition of processes like Beleri, which is why I am 100% for transparency", Bushati said on the show "Të Paekspozuarit".
