The match between Rome and Lazio returns to dinner, as it has not happened for many years due to security issues. And this has caused the Italian police to be in a state of readiness before the duel, which has usually brought clashes between the fans.
During the afternoon, law enforcement in the Italian capital prevented a clash between more than 300 fans of both teams, who had come dangerously close to each other. After calm has been established, a random search among the fans has begun and, as expected, a veritable arsenal of weapons has been discovered among them.
Police said they found machetes, kitchen knives, plastic rods with metal cutting tips, baseball bats or metal gloves as fans prepared for an open battle in Rome's squares. Also, numerous pyrotechnic materials were seized, which are not allowed to enter the stadium for the match in question.
