The 44-year-old identified as Violand Braçellari is the perpetrator of the murder of police officer Enea Mekolli and the injury of another police officer, Edison Adri.
The incident occurred during a police operation in Lozhan, Maliqi, to capture the 43-year-old, who had been wanted by the Vlora police since 2017.
The author, Violand Bracellari, was considered a dangerous person, known in the Maliqi area for previous criminal events in which he was suspected of being involved.
The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, when police forces, part of the "Eagle" forces, were conducting an operation to capture Bacellari in the deep mountainous area of Boda.
While approaching a camp where he was staying, the perpetrator noticed the movements of the officers and opened fire in their direction.
As a result of the shooting, Enea Mekolli lost his life on the spot, while Edison Adri was injured.
He himself was wounded in the hand.

As he approached the large dog kennel, the perpetrator noticed suspicious movements and fired several shots. A police officer, Enea Mekolli, was killed in the line of duty, while another was injured.
