Iran has hardened its tone towards the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), accusing it of using reports on Iran's nuclear program as an instrument of political pressure amid ongoing tensions with the United States.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said the UN nuclear watchdog must review its approach to monitoring Iran's nuclear activities if it aims to play a constructive role in reaching a diplomatic solution.

"The IAEA is using its reports as tools of political pressure," said Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi, accusing the UN nuclear watchdog of a politicized approach to Tehran's nuclear program.

The statements come at a time when Iran's nuclear program remains one of the most contentious issues in international discussions. Washington has repeatedly demanded that Tehran hand over its stockpile of enriched uranium, which is considered a key sticking point in regional security negotiations.

In its latest report, the IAEA asked Iran to provide clarification on the fate of its uranium reserves, which the agency said have not been located since the attacks launched by the US and Israel on Iranian targets last summer.

According to IAEA officials, international inspectors have been unable to return to some of the nuclear facilities to carry out the necessary verifications. However, Gharibabadi argued that this situation is a direct consequence of military attacks and not a lack of cooperation on the part of Iran.

Tehran continues to insist that its nuclear program has exclusively civilian and energy purposes, denying accusations that it aims to develop nuclear weapons.
