Over 26,600 high school graduates across the country are taking the second State Matura 2026 exam today, that of Albanian Language and Literature.
Testing starts at 10:00 and lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes.
To carry out the process, 144 exam centers have been set up in schools across the country. The testing will be supported by 2,087 teacher administrators and 170 monitors from the Ministry of Education, while 650 correctors will be engaged in the evaluation of the tests.
To ensure a smooth process, high school graduates must respect a number of rules. They must be present at the school premises by 08:30, have their identity card with them, be dressed according to the rules and in the school uniform. Also, the use of mobile phones and smart watches is prohibited during the exam, while correct behavior and maximum concentration are required during the test.
The Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro, a day ago appealed for this exam to be conducted with the same standards as the Foreign Language exam, emphasizing that respecting the rules is non-negotiable.
According to the State Matura calendar, on June 16, high school graduates will take the Mathematics exam, while on June 23, the elective exam will be held.
