Flamurtari's Nigerian footballer, Sodiq Atanda, has returned to the field after being attacked yesterday evening in Vlora by a person with mental health problems. Signs of the bandage from the wound caused by the cutting tool can still be seen on his left hand.
The incident occurred on Friday evening in the area known as "Kali i Trojës", in the city of Vlora, where the 31-year-old was injured in the hand, suspected to have been stabbed with a knife.
The police announced today that they have initiated criminal proceedings against the aggressor, citizen DB, 21 years old, resident of the "1 Maji" neighborhood, registered as a person with mental health problems, who after a conflict for weak motives stabbed the Nigerian footballer in the hand.
