Details on how the election campaign will open...
The electoral campaign will officially open tomorrow. The SP and the DP have decided to present themselves to the public with completely different activities.
The DP has decided to launch the campaign tomorrow at 7:00 PM, in an event at "Mother Teresa" Square. Sali Berisha is expected to appear alongside American campaign strategist Chris LaCivita. The latter has so far been staying in the US, but has decided to stay in Tirana this month and help Sali Berisha.
But coincidence or not, tomorrow Sali Berisha will be the eyes and ears of the Special Court, as the next session will be held there to decide whether or not the "Partizani" file will go to trial.
SPAK has taken former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi and 3 others as defendants, businessman Fatmir Bektashi, Malltezi's partner, Xhimi Begeja and financier, Andia Pustina. But even though the file has been going to trial since the end of last year, we have no decision. The last time the hearing was postponed because one of the lawyers was absent.
If the hearing is held tomorrow, as usual, the prosecutors in the case will speak, who will provide arguments as to why this file should go to trial. In the end, the judge must decide: to discontinue the investigation, return the file for reinvestigation, or pass it on to trial.
Meanwhile, Rama has decided to continue with the show. After picking up shovels and planting trees in the 2023 elections, the Socialist Party has decided that tomorrow it will hold 12 parallel events in every region of Albania, where the focus will be women.
The activities will continue until Saturday, as on the 12th, at 12:00, an activity will be held in Skanderbeg Square, in a festive format. Rama stated that he deliberately chose this date: " April 12, from 12 districts, around 12 stars of Europe, at 12:00, our great political family gathers in Skanderbeg Square for the festive meeting Albania 2030 in the EU ."
So far, the polls favor the SP, but Rama has increased his appetite. He has ordered his people to get 1 million votes in these elections. He even said this openly in a meeting this afternoon in Durrës.
" The Albanians will do the math on May 11, as they should. So we should aim not for 800 thousand, but for 1 million votes. That should be the limit we should aim for. We should come out of May 11 with more than 900 thousand votes. It is easy to say but difficult to do. We should aim to get the ninth mandate of the deputy in Durrës ", he said. / Pamphlet
